Chandana Khan, Secretary (Additional Charge), Department of Tourism,
Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Chandana Khan shared some of the initiatives in
the Tourism Sector. Bio diversity conference will be held from
September 1st-14th September 2012. There is a huge gap of tourism
guides, archaeological guides, volunteers in this sector. 500 volunteers
were undertaken and will be trained. In every tourism site there will
be a guide. Restoration, minor repairs, graphity removal, cleaning the
premises of the herited sites in Hyderabad (Heritage City). We are
going to develop Sculpture Park as a part of these initiatives in
Shilparamam. This will be an open air Sculpture Park with different
zones such as Rock Zone, Temple Architect Sculptures, Modern American
European Sculptures, Recycle material. There will be a campful start
from July 1st in Shilparamam premises. Govt. of India said that in every
Tourism site, Clean & Green drive should be taken up.
