It is apt that we are meeting on the International Literacy Day to talk and discuss about literacy, importance of literacy to both society and all. On international literacy day we get all our stock together to see what we have done in the field of literacy, what kind of improvements the countries have made, what implementations have to be made so that literacy rates improve. For any country to sustain economic growth the country has to attain a minimum of 80% literacy. In India our literacy rate is around 65%. In terms of geography and largeness of the numbers in terms of diversity, languages we have done pretty well.
