J P Dua, CMD, Allahabad Bank, Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The Bank is going to launch an exclusive Housing Loan Cell at Gachibowli, Hyderabad to cater to the needs of housing loans. The bank has set a target of 3.30 lakh crs of business for the financial year 2012-13. The bank has also set a target of 20 % growth for this year.The Bank in Southern states have recorded a business of 18,778 crs, deposit of 9,817 crs and cr and credit of 8,961 crs at the end of financial year 2011-12. Bank has taken several initiatives for IT based products and will be launching E-Stamping in Karnataka shortly. Bank has launched a prepaid Gift Cards and co-branded Amex Credit Card as a value added service to its customers. The bank has also started merchant acquiring business through POS machines. The Bank is also eyeing a large stake in a Gold Loan portfolio in AP. Retail, SMEs and Agriculture will be the area of focus of the bank. Allahabad Bank has about 35 Retail Banks in the country. The bank is planning to open 250 new branches and1000 ATM Centre this year.
