The aim of Advantage AP is to provide a forum for IT and ITES companies,
academic institutions, governments, end-customers of various
industries, to collaborate and leverage the enabling environment that
the State has. Efforts are underway to develop IT industry in Tier 2 and
Tier 3 cities like Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Warangal and
Tirupati. Though as much as 98 per cent of IT business in the state
comes from Hyderabad, other locations are also doing well, accounting
for Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 crore business last fiscal.
